Living Learning Communities

USF offers several innovative Living Learning communities that enhance the overall university experience while providing special emphasis on one’s academic program or area of special interest. Many of these programs require a separate application specific to the program. Please see more information regarding these programs below:

Bulls Business Community

The Bulls Business Community (BBC) is a residential learning community housed in the new Magnolia Hall and is designed for students intending to major in business. It offers the opportunity to live with other motivated business students who will be taking similar courses as well as the opportunity to participate in exclusive events and activities designed to support and develop necessary business skills. Participation in the BBC provides the opportunity to network with college of Business administrators and faculty as well as prominent Tampa Bay business leaders. BBC students can also participate in company tours, networking dinners, alumni visits, improvisation classes, and business preparation sessions such as business etiquette, dress for success, etc. BBC students also benefit from in-hall tutoring and a dedicated College of Business Advisor to assist students with their academics and develop a relationship with the College of Business.

Engineering Community LLC

The Engineering Living and Learning Community (ELLC) is an exciting opportunity to live and study together for First-Year students who have been admitted to the College of Engineering. During the first semester ELLC students are co-enrolled in prerequisite courses and Foundations of Engineering. THe similar class schedules provide students with a built-in network of peer support. Housed in the new Magnolia Hall, residents get the benefits of having former ELLC residents serve as mentors in the residence hall and also have free tutoring in the community. Engineering Advisors periodically visit the hall to provide on-site advising and other academic support programs. Programs with faculty and administrators occur each semester..
