Welcome to Greek Village

The University of South Florida currently houses 14 national fraternities and sororities in the Greek Village. Greek housing is open to individuals who are members of these Greek organizations. Each organization resides in a two- or three-story house comprised of double bedrooms with a community kitchen, common restrooms and a living room. Residents are required to sign a Greek Housing contract provided by Housing & Residential Education and any additional contracts pertaining to individual organizational membership.

Apply to Become a Community Manager!

If you are interested in becoming a Community Manager for the 2015-2016 academic year, please review the information below. Any questions can be directed to Cody Porter, the Greek Village Staff Assistant, at 813-974-9186 or codyporter@usf.edu.

Minimum Qualifications to become a Community Manager:
All qualifications must be met at the time of application. The Application Process:

There are several steps to becoming a CM at the University of South Florida for the Fall 2015-Spring 2016 semesters. They are as follows:

  1. Read the CM Agreement
  2. Read the current Community Manager Agreement for a thorough understanding of position duties, responsibilities, and requirements. The agreement is found in the “Documents” section below.

  3. Attend one Information Session.
  4. Attendance is mandatory to be considered for candidacy. Attend one of the sessions offered below:

    • January 6, 2015 @ 6:00pm (Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter House)
    • January 7, 2015 @ 9:00pm (Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter House)
    • January 8, 2015 @ 12:00pm (Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter House)

  5. Complete an application.
  6. In order to complete the application, you must access the Housing Portal. After entering your NetID and password, click "Programs and Events". If you do not see the CM application, e-mail Cody Porter at codyporter@usf.edu for assistance.

  7. Obtain one (1) reference.
  8. The reference form can be accessed in the “Documents” section below. The reference form is a fillable PDF. As an applicant, please make sure you fill out the top section labeled, “to be completed by the applicant” before saving and emailing the document to the individuals you would like to complete the form. By submitting your reference, you are waiving your right of access (as afforded under federal law) to the information provided on the form. Submission instructions are provided to each reference on the form, and all references should be submitted no later than 5:00pm on February 3, 2015. The following individuals should complete references:

    • House Corporation representative or any Chapter Advisor

  9. Housing Reviews Applications.
  10. Housing & Residential Education will verify each applicant’s GPA and student conduct record. Application and reference materials will also be reviewed to ensure all applicant files are complete. Individuals who meet the qualifications and have submitted a completed application packet and attended an information session will be considered.

  11. Individual Interview
  12. Applicants will be invited to schedule an individual interview via email. The email will be sent to the students’ USF email account by Friday, February 6 at 5:00pm. Candidates must accept or decline the interview offer no later than February 11 at 5:00pm. Failure to reply will imply that the candidate has declined the offer to participate in the interview.

    Candidates must participate in an individual interview. Individual interviews will be held February 16-19, 2015. You will schedule your interview day and time and be given an interview location when you accept the interview offer.

    Candidates will be notified of the status in the process on February 25. Accept/Decline is due by 5:00pm on February 27.

Apply to Become a Resident Assistant (Non-Greek Housing)!

If you are interested in becoming a Resident Assistant for the 2015-2016 academic year in non-Greek housing, you must go through the RA Selection Process. Please note that the RA Selection Process and the CM Selection Process are separate. If you want to apply for both positions, you must go through both selection processes.
