Residence Hall ServicesFrom mail pick-up to computer labs, Housing & Residential Education works very hard to bring our residents a variety of services for their convenience. Below are services and amenities every resident on campus may enjoy. Cable TVStudents who live on campus may enjoy cable TV service at no additional charge. Campus residents have access to over 70 channels, including MTV, ESPN, the major networks, a movie channel, and the Housing & Residential Education Network - a video bulletin board which keeps students up to date on campus events. To access the service, you must have a cable-ready television and a coaxial cable. Check out the TV listings of over 70 channels you will receive in your room! Telephone ServiceBasic phone service can be activitated for $50 and requires a $25 monthly charge to operate. Long distance phone calls require a personal calling card which can be purchased in any major retail store. We recommend bringing a mobile phone to keep in touch with family and friends. Computer ConnectionHigh speed Ethernet service is provided in every bedroom at no additional charge. A single operational Ethernet port is provided
per student, per bed. Using the Ethernet connections require specialized hardware and software for your computer. Your computer must be IBM compatible,
Pentium class or higher and run Windows 2000 or XP. You will also need to have an ethernet card installed on your computer. Macintosh users will
need to provide appropriate hardware and software for Ethernet connections. Computer LabsComputer labs for all resident students, featuring most commonly used software, Internet and laser printers, are located in Holly and Magnolia Apartments. These labs are for the exclusive use of residents and are open for extended hours of operation to fit a student’s schedule. For operating hours of the computer labs, click here. Laundry FacilitiesA laundry facility is located in each hall area for the convenience of resident students. Some halls have a central laundry facility in the community building, while other halls have a laundry room on the first floor. The machines are coin- and USF Card-operated. It costs 75 cents to wash and 75 cents to dry. Ironing boards and folding tables are also located in each laundry room for use. Each hall area has its own mailroom where mail is delivered to each resident’s mailbox Monday through Saturday with the exception of holidays.
Mailboxes are shared with your roommate. If you are assigned a single room you will have a mailbox to yourself. For your convenience, below are the addresses
for all of the residence halls. In order to receive your mail and packages, the following address format should be used:
