Mission Statement

The Department of Housing & Residential Education provides a safe community, innovative programs, and quality services that contribute to our residents' success by fostering their learning, personal development, and citizenship.

A Message from the Director

We are delighted and thrilled that you have selected the University of South Florida residence halls for your home away from home! We believe this is a place you will develop life-long friendships, find strong academic support systems, and experience the fun that comes with living with others who are experiencing college life.

We believe so strongly in the benefits of living on campus that the University has made the decision to begin housing all first year students on campus beginning in the Fall of 2009. More information about the first-year live on requirement may be found here.

Although you have several floor plan options from which to choose, you will find that it is not the architecture of the building that makes your experience here at USF, it is the dynamic personality of the residents who reside in each hall, your RA, the dining staff, and even the maintenance crew who will build the community that truly make USF your home.

The rooms may be small, but the rewards are great! We look forward to having you in our community and experiencing USF as a TRUE BULL!
